How It Works
Most families who find Bright Companion Care have never done this before. They know their loved one needs more support. They are not sure where to start, what questions to ask, or what they are committing to. This page answers all of that, step by step, with nothing left vague or assumed.
The Full Path
There are no surprises along the way. Here is everything your family will experience, in order, before your loved one’s support begins.
First Contact
This is a 15 to 20 minute phone conversation, completely free, with no sales pitch and no pressure. The only purpose of this call is to help both of you understand whether Bright Companion Care may be a good fit for your family.
Ezinne will ask you about your loved one’s current situation, where the pressure is coming from, and what your family most needs right now. At the end of the call, she will tell you plainly whether she thinks there is a genuine fit, which service may be the right starting point, and what the next step looks like if you want to continue.
Paid Intake and Planning Session
If the Clarity Call confirms a potential fit, the next step is the Paid Intake and Planning Session. This is a $200 working session, held in person or virtually, that gives Ezinne the full picture of your loved one’s life and current situation.
This is not a second screening call. It is where Ezinne learns the details: who your loved one is as a person, what their days look like, what your family has already tried, where the gaps are, and what kind of support would genuinely help. At the end of the session, you receive a written proposal.
The $200 fee is credited in full toward your service fee if you move forward. If you decide Bright is not the right fit, the session simply covers the planning work completed with no further obligation of any kind.
Your Written Proposal
At the close of your Intake and Planning Session, Ezinne presents a written proposal for your family. It names the service that fits your situation, exactly what it includes, and the complete investment. There is no ambiguity, no range of numbers to decode, and no add-on surprises.
You will never be recommended more support than your loved one genuinely needs. The proposal is yours to take away, share with other family members, and review at your own pace before making any decision.
Service Agreement
When your family is ready to move forward, you sign a service agreement. Monthly retainers begin with a three-month initial agreement and then continue month to month. The Care Transition Retainer is a 30-day engagement with no ongoing commitment.
After the initial three months, the engagement continues month to month for as long as it serves your family well. At the 90-day mark, Ezinne presents a written summary of what has been accomplished, what is working, and what the ongoing picture looks like. Care Transition families receive a Next Steps Roadmap before the 30-day engagement ends.
Your Loved One’s Support Begins
From the moment your engagement begins, the same person shows up every time. No rotating staff. Not whoever is available. Ezinne, personally, at every scheduled visit, every appointment accompaniment, and every family briefing call.
The first weeks are dedicated to genuinely getting to know your loved one as a person: their routines, preferences, personality, and the things that matter most to them day to day. Support is organized around that, not a generic template.
Your family receives a written update after every visit, a scheduled weekly briefing call, and a living action plan that shows exactly what has been handled, what is in progress, and what comes next. You will never need to wonder what is happening.
The First Call, Up Close
Many families hesitate to make the first call because they are not sure what to expect. Here is exactly what it looks like, so you can decide whether you are ready.
The Intake Session, Up Close
The Paid Intake and Planning Session is one of the most important parts of how Bright Companion Care works. It deserves a clear, direct explanation.
Once Your Engagement Begins
Once the agreement is signed, this is what changes for your family. Not eventually. From the beginning.
Ezinne personally provides every scheduled visit, every appointment accompaniment, and every family briefing. No rotating staff, no substitute, and no unfamiliar face at your loved one’s door.
After every visit, Ezinne sends your family a written report. A real account of what happened, what was observed, what was handled, and what requires attention.
A scheduled weekly call with Ezinne, at a consistent time reserved specifically for your family. You stay informed without needing to chase updates.
Your Family Priorities and Action Plan is a working document that shows what Bright is handling, what has been completed, what is in progress, and what still needs attention.
The first weeks are spent genuinely learning who your loved one is: their routines, preferences, personality, and what matters most to their everyday life. Support is organized around that, not a generic template.
At the end of the initial three months, Ezinne presents a written review covering what has been accomplished, what is working, and what comes next. You renew knowing exactly what you are continuing and why.
Exactly Where We Stand
