The Full Path

Five clear steps from first contact to first visit.

There are no surprises along the way. Here is everything your family will experience, in order, before your loved one’s support begins.

The First Call, Up Close

What actually happens on your Clarity Call.

Many families hesitate to make the first call because they are not sure what to expect. Here is exactly what it looks like, so you can decide whether you are ready.

What the call is

  • A quiet, honest conversation about your family’s situation
  • An opportunity to ask questions you have been sitting with
  • A chance for Ezinne to tell you plainly if there is a genuine fit
  • A no-obligation starting point with nothing required after
  • Available by phone or video, at a time that works for you

What the call is not

  • A sales call designed to move you toward signing anything
  • A formal intake or clinical assessment
  • An obligation to continue if the fit is not right
  • Something you need to prepare extensively for
  • A commitment of any kind
No preparation required Phone or video 15 to 20 minutes No obligation after Ezinne personally takes the call

The Intake Session, Up Close

Why the $200 session exists, and what your family receives.

The Paid Intake and Planning Session is one of the most important parts of how Bright Companion Care works. It deserves a clear, direct explanation.

90 Minutes of dedicated working time with Ezinne
$200 Credited in full toward your service fee if you move forward
$0 Further obligation if you decide Bright is not the right fit

What happens during the session

  • Ezinne learns who your loved one is as a whole person
  • You describe current daily life, routines, and challenges
  • You share what has already been tried and what has not worked
  • Together, you identify where the real gaps in support are
  • Ezinne clarifies scope, availability, and service boundaries

What your family receives

  • A specific service recommendation, not a range of options to guess between
  • A written proposal with full service details and the complete investment
  • A clear picture of what the first weeks of engagement would look like
  • Honest guidance if a different type of support would serve your loved one better
The $200 fee is credited in full toward your service fee if you move forward. It does not disappear. For families who are a genuine fit, the session effectively costs nothing. For families who decide not to proceed, it covers the 90 minutes of preparation, planning, and proposal work completed on their behalf.

Once Your Engagement Begins

What your family can count on from the very first week.

Once the agreement is signed, this is what changes for your family. Not eventually. From the beginning.

The same person at every visit

Ezinne personally provides every scheduled visit, every appointment accompaniment, and every family briefing. No rotating staff, no substitute, and no unfamiliar face at your loved one’s door.

Written update after every visit

After every visit, Ezinne sends your family a written report. A real account of what happened, what was observed, what was handled, and what requires attention.

Weekly family briefing at a reserved time

A scheduled weekly call with Ezinne, at a consistent time reserved specifically for your family. You stay informed without needing to chase updates.

A living action plan your family can see

Your Family Priorities and Action Plan is a working document that shows what Bright is handling, what has been completed, what is in progress, and what still needs attention.

Personalized from the very start

The first weeks are spent genuinely learning who your loved one is: their routines, preferences, personality, and what matters most to their everyday life. Support is organized around that, not a generic template.

90-day review before you renew

At the end of the initial three months, Ezinne presents a written review covering what has been accomplished, what is working, and what comes next. You renew knowing exactly what you are continuing and why.

Exactly Where We Stand

What Bright Companion Care does, and what it deliberately does not.

Knowing exactly what we provide and where our role ends helps families choose care with confidence.

Clear boundaries. Consistent, honest practice.

Ezinne’s healthcare background shapes the quality and attentiveness of every visit. But the boundaries of what Bright provides are clear, stated plainly here, and never compromised.

What We Do

  • Genuine companionship and relationship-centered support
  • Personal care assistance: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
  • Mobility assistance when your loved one can be safely supported by one caregiver
  • Family coordination, lifestyle management, and administrative support
  • Appointment accompaniment and organized communication with families
  • An attentive, experienced presence shaped by 15-plus years of healthcare practice
  • Respect for your loved one’s independence, preferences, privacy, and dignity

What We Do Not Do

  • Skilled nursing services, medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical procedures
  • Medication administration, medication management, or clinical monitoring
  • Hoyer lifts, mechanical lifts, or mechanical transfer equipment
  • Two-person transfers, total assistance transfers, or transfers not safely completed by one caregiver
  • Wound care, injections, IV therapy, or management of catheters or feeding tubes

Questions Families Ask First

What families want to know before making any decision.

Direct, complete answers. Because this decision deserves full information, not vague reassurances.

Do I have to book the Intake Session after the Clarity Call?+
The Clarity Call carries no obligation whatsoever. At the end of the call, Ezinne will share what she thinks based on what she heard. If she believes there may be a genuine fit, she will describe what the Intake Session involves and what it costs. You can decide from there, in your own time, without any pressure. If you need to speak with other family members first, that is completely reasonable.
What is the service area for Bright Companion Care?+
Bright Companion Care serves select communities across Greater Boston and the South Shore. If you are unsure whether your loved one’s location falls within the service area, the Clarity Call is the right place to confirm. Ezinne will tell you directly at the outset rather than let your family go through the full process only to discover a geographic issue.
What if I am not sure which service is right for my family?+
That is exactly what the Clarity Call is designed to help you work through. Most families who reach out are not certain which option fits. You do not need to have an answer before calling. Ezinne will ask about your loved one’s current situation and where the biggest gaps are, then tell you which service she thinks makes the most sense and why. You will never be recommended more support than your loved one genuinely needs.
Can we start with a lower level of support and add more later?+
Sometimes, yes. If a lighter level of support genuinely matches your loved one’s current needs, Ezinne will tell you that plainly rather than recommend a larger engagement. As your loved one’s needs change, additional support may be added or the service level may be adjusted, subject to scheduling availability and continued fit with the services Bright provides.
What happens at the end of the three-month initial agreement?+
Before the initial three months conclude, Ezinne prepares a written Family Coordination and Forward Planning Review covering what has been accomplished, what is working well, outstanding priorities, any changes in the support picture, and practical needs your family may want to prepare for. After the initial term, the engagement continues month to month. Your family makes a deliberate, informed decision to continue.
Is Bright Companion Care available for emergencies or after-hours situations?+
No. Bright Companion Care operates Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Messages received outside those hours are acknowledged the following business day. Bright does not provide emergency response, after-hours support, continuous supervision, or 24-hour availability. For genuine medical emergencies, families should call 911 or contact their loved one’s medical provider directly. This is stated clearly in the service agreement before any engagement begins, so there are no surprises.
Will my loved one always work with the same person?+
Yes. Ezinne personally provides every scheduled visit in every service Bright Companion Care offers. Bright does not operate with a rotating staff pool. There is one professional, one relationship, and one consistent presence for your loved one at every scheduled visit. This consistency is deliberate and central to the way Bright Companion Care works. Genuine care and trust cannot be built by a rotating team of unfamiliar faces.
