When You Cannot Always Be There

You want more than a simple check in.

You are not simply looking for someone to stop by a few times a week. You want to know that your loved one has dependable support, genuine companionship, and someone who takes the time to notice the little things that may be difficult to see from a distance.

Work, family responsibilities, or living miles away may make it impossible to be there every day. What you need is support you can trust, someone who takes the time to understand your loved one's routines, preferences, and changing needs while helping you remain informed and connected.

If this feels familiar, Bright Companion Care was created with families like yours in mind.

What May Be on Your Mind

Am I missing small changes that could mean something important?

I just want them to see the same familiar face and feel comfortable with who comes in.

I don’t want to have to chase updates. I just want to know how things are going.

I wish I could be there more often. I just want to know they’re okay when I can’t be.

Meet the Founder

Built from years of caring for older adults and listening to families.

Throughout her career, Ezinne saw older adults whose physical and medical needs were being addressed, yet their social and emotional well-being could still be overlooked. Many were lonely, isolated, and missing the connection and enjoyment that make everyday life meaningful.

She founded Bright Companion Care LLC to help fill that gap, bringing companionship, thoughtful assistance, and brighter moments to older adults while giving families, especially those caring from a distance, greater connection and peace of mind.

“I want older adults to feel cared for, stay connected, and continue enjoying their lives. I also want their families to feel reassured knowing someone dependable is there.” Ezinne Akalonu, RN

Questions, Answered

Everything families ask first

Answered plainly so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and no guesswork about what to expect.

What does “nonmedical” mean exactly?+
Bright Companion Care LLC provides nonmedical and nonclinical companion services, family coordination, lifestyle support, and administrative assistance. When included in the service plan, Bright also provides personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating, as well as minimal mobility support when appropriate and safely manageable by one caregiver. Bright does not provide skilled nursing services, medical diagnosis, treatment, medication administration, medication management, clinical monitoring, Hoyer or mechanical lift transfers, two-person transfers, or total assistance transfers. Ezinne’s background in healthcare informs the quality and attentiveness of her work, but for all medical needs, your family continues to work directly with your loved one’s physician and care team. That distinction is clear, consistent, and never compromised.
What areas do you serve?+
Bright Companion Care serves select communities throughout Greater Boston and the South Shore. Availability is subject to location, scheduling, service needs, and availability. If you are unsure whether your loved one’s home falls within the current service area, the Clarity Call is the right place to ask. We are happy to confirm before either party commits any further time.
What happens on the Clarity Call?+
The Clarity Call is a free, no-pressure conversation of about 15 to 20 minutes. We talk through your family’s situation, what you are managing, what you are worried about, and what a good outcome would look like. At the end of that call, if we are a strong fit, Ezinne will invite you to schedule the Paid Intake and Planning Session. There is no commitment, no sales pitch, and no obligation. Just an honest conversation.
What is the Paid Intake and Planning Session and what does it cost?+
The Paid Intake and Planning Session is a 90-minute working session, held in person or virtually, where Ezinne learns your loved one’s full situation, their routines, their preferences, and what your family most needs. At the end of the session, she presents a clear written proposal: the right service arrangement, what it includes, and what it costs. The fee is $200, and it is credited in full toward your first month if you decide to move forward. If you choose not to proceed, the fee covers the session and the written proposal with no further obligation.
Will it always be the same person visiting?+
Yes. Bright Companion Care LLC is a founder-led private practice, not an agency. Ezinne Akalonu is the professional who works with your family. There are no rotating staff members, no substitute visitors, and no strangers at the door. The consistency of the relationship is the foundation of what makes this service genuinely different. It is not an add-on feature. It is the core of what we offer.
How long is the initial agreement?+
For the Family Care Coordination Retainer and the Complete Signature Retainer, the initial agreement is three months. Three months is long enough to build a real, meaningful relationship with your loved one and demonstrate genuine value. It also gives you a natural point to review and renew with full confidence. After the initial three months, the engagement continues month to month for as long as it serves your family well. The Care Transition Retainer is a defined 30-day engagement with no ongoing commitment required.
How do I get started?+
Book your free Clarity Call using the button on this page. There is no obligation and no pressure. It is simply a 15 to 20 minute conversation to see if Bright Companion Care LLC is the right fit for your family.
